What a view what a view. This typical Dutch panorama is actually stone's throw from 

my old hometown Zaandam. Where I was born and raised. And I don't know if I should
be proud of that though...

I paid a visit to le parents last week 'cause it was paps birthday. So a little bit of dressing
up never hurt nobody, right? ;) Plus, you know me, I luvvv to dress up!

This is actually a very "black" outfit for me, haha! And I think a lot of people will laugh
at me by saying that. But the neon colors makes it Linsey material again.

Ahhh, I missed neon colors!

I think the most famous man in Holland must be our one and only Sinterklaas.
The "Dutch Santaclaus", although Santa comes with Christmas too. 

But our Sint comes a little earlier than Santa. He's actually in The Netherlands right now!

With his companions; de zwarte Pieten, which is thé topic of the season.

I'll save you the whole Sinterklaas history (you're welcome) but the biggest issue of this
holiday is racism. 

Well, Sinterklaas asked me to be his fashion Piet, no matter what color I am. "As long 

as you are stylish and helping the whole team to look fashionable my dear Linsey", he said.
And this is how I think all of them should look like... ;-)

Cheers to the freaking weekend! And time to see le mom and dad again after their one month trip 

to the USA. What are your weekend plans?

It's sweater weather again! Fortunately and unfortunately. I love sweaters, they're the most 
comfy clothing items in the world. But living in 30 degrees is no nightmare to me as well.

Because Summer is my ultimate favorite season. Only too bad these two favorites do 

not go together very well (plus its never 30 degrees in the Netherlands)...

Since almost two months now, I'm having my own, weekly section at the Metro newspaper 
and metromode.nl with five fellow bloggers. And before this all started, there was a photoshoot 
planned with photographer Marloes van Doorn at the gorgeous Eye of Amsterdam.

So when I saw the result of this shoot, I definitely wanted to share it with you guys. 
Yes, I'm the girl with the neon pink beanie every thursday in the Metro newspaper ;-)

As you might know I'm publishing my story every Monday on metromode.nl and this time 
the theme is: shoes, shoes and shoes. So finish this sentence:

There never goes a day by when I'm leaving my house without some accessories, 

especially rings. So I thought it was nice to show you my ring collection on a original way.

This monologue inspires me a lot these past weeks. I'm just obsessed with Lana's 

song Ride, please listen it here above while you're reading it. #loveit

"I was in the winter of my life- and the men I met along the road were my only summer. At 

night I fell sleep with vision of myself dancing and laughing and crying with them. Three years 

down the line of being on an endless world tour and memories of them were the only things 

that sustained me, and my only real happy times. I was a singer, not very popular one, who 

once has dreams of becoming a beautiful poet- but upon an unfortunate series of events saw 

those dreams dashed and divided like million stars in the night sky that I wished on over and 

over again- sparkling and broken. But I really didn’t mind because I knew that it takes getting 

everything you ever wanted and then losing it to know what true freedom is.

When the people I used to know found out what I had been doing, how I had been living- 

they asked me why. But there’s no use in talking to people who have a home, they have no 

idea what its like to seek safety in other people, for home to be wherever you lied you head.

I was always an unusual girl, my mother told me that I had a chameleon soul. No moral 

compass pointing me due north, no fixed personality. Just an inner indecisiveness that was 

as wide as wavering as the ocean. And if I said that I didn’t plan for it to turn out this way I’d 

be lying- because I was born to be the other woman. I belonged to no one- who belonged to 

everyone, who had nothing- who wanted everything with a fire for every experience and an 

obsession for freedom that terrified me to the point that I couldn’t even talk about- and 

pushed me to a nomadic point of madness that both dazzlez and dizzied me.

Every night I used to pray that I’d find my people- and finally I did- on the open road. 

We have nothing to lose, nothing to gain, nothing we desired anymore- except to make 

our lives into a work of art.

LIVE FAST. DIE YOUNG. BE WILD. AND HAVE FUN.

I believe in the country America used to be. I believe in the person I want to become, 

I believe in the freedom of the open road. And my motto is the same as ever- *I believe in 

the kindness of strangers. And when I’m at war with myself- I Ride. I Just Ride.*

TRAVEL DIARY

Saint-Tropez, you gotta love it or hate it. And to be honest, I think it's ah-some and I can 

handle a lot, but even I felt a bit intimidated. 

You can see this city as a dream or as something really depressing. Of course I expected the 

lovely Chanel, Hermes and Louis Vuitton stores (GOD The House Of Chanel was beyond in-cre-di-ble) 

But if you see yachts from like 400 million euro's(!) the first thing that's going on your mind is; 

'WOW, this is gorrrrgeous' but after that you think; 'my god, this is inhuman!'

It even looks like the homeless people (yes, they live there on the streets too) seem to be okay. 

Finding Laduree macarons in the trashcan sounds a lot better than rotten bread, right?

But to make things clear, I can definitely tell you I'm having a bless here!

Okay, listen... How much do you think this t-shirt is? €2,00! HAHAHA. 

I was craving for this Christopher Kane rainbow shirt for a long, long time but it was sold 

out everywhere. So when I saw this shirt I thought 'This one is pretty awesome as well!'

Although I'm not really a Primark fan, le mom, granny and auntie went "Primark shopping" 

and thought, why not have a look? So I bumped up to a few awesome pieces. 

But more about that later.

Because I'm no billionaire, I love to mix and match designer pieces with "regular" brands.

It's because I was OBSESSED with Jan Boelo's collection and have a wonderful camera, 

otherwise I couldn't even publish this fashion show because of the horrible seats I got... 

To be honest, this collection was my favorite of Amsterdam Fashion Week. Maybe because 

I have a weakness for the Marine/Army/Defense theme Boelo used. Total goosebumps!!! 

The hats, boots, leather, Marine blue, music and gorgeous models was close to perfection 

I must say. An international allure. 

But if you ask me if it's original, not really. Because for me it was a mix of Louis Vuitton 

and Balmain. But what the hell? It was beyond gorgeous!

The office where I work is like a Walhalla of locations for bloggers/photographers. So me and 

daddy planned a LOT more shoots there and this is location number one. And let that also 

just be the hardest location to shoot (because of the lights). My dad isn't really happy with 
the result. But he looks with his "photographic eye". Well, I think they're pretty awesome!
