BEST OF 2014

POSE-redcarpet-2
Oh gosh, here we go again. This is the post I´m getting most excited about. And always a little
bit emotional. My all-time favorite one; The "BEST OF" post. This is actually the beste throwback
post in the world. Also a good way to look back at your achievements from the past year.
What can you do better? Or what do you wanna achieve in 2015?

Every year I make list with goals. Sort of a "bucketlist"
And believe me, that sh*t works damn good!

WORK
I started my first day of 2014 single and with a major hangover... Not really a good start of
the year, huh? Haha! But then the good news came; a new job! Graphic designer at Holland´s
biggest fashionnewst site I Love Fashion News.com, BAM! In the pocket. And I´m still working there.

TRAVEL
One of my biggest goals in life: traveling around the world. But with one major obstacle (of course):
fear of flying. I´m trying my best and my first trip in 2014 was in January, to lovely Madrid
Then came Paris, my future hometown (I mean it!) together with New Look

Following with Stockholm, which I fell in love with. There was the biggest party of the year, Nelly.com
her birthday bash, WOW what a party and what a city and what a beautiful people! I also met the
biggest bloggers like Angelica Blick and Kenza.

Hola Barca! Stop number 4. A sneaky get away. With a little visit to my old second home; Salou.
I felt like a little kid who was in Disney Land! So excited to be in that city again. So much memories.
I practicly grew up there in the Summers.

BONAIRE, ARUBA, CURACAO, BONAIRE. And that in two weeks. Seriously the best travel
experience in my life so far. These three islands are just beyond magical. Swimming with dolphins
on "Curadise", family-time with my "macamba" family on Bonaire, and feeding flamingo´s at
the private island on Aruba. (And I booked Bonaire again for next february!!!)

EXPERIENCE
In April it happened. One of the dreams I couldn´t even dreamed of happened: walking down the
There I was in my baby pink gown, nervous as hell but I enjoyed it to the fullest. Pinch me please!
I still cannot believe that happened to me! By the way, the movie is defenitly must see!

I had the chance to chat with him! And right timing, because George is a red carpet expert so he
gave me the best tips for my first red carpet experience, what a sweetheart! Thanks again George ;)

LOVE
Call me crazy, but one of the things I wrote on my list was finding love. And I did. A very
complicated love story. The ones you only see in movies but it happened to me for real. Maybe
I should make a movie about it, haha! I wanted to wait and tell you all this in 2015 but what the hell!
I am back with Bryan again. Yes, you read that right. But there´s one other thing I wanna tell you
but this one I´m keeping for you til 2015! ;)

PEOPLE
"People come and people go." And this year the quote was right again. I met new amazing people like
Nanda, but I also lost a few... Old friends became new ones, or even more ;)

"2013 was practice
2014 was the warm up
2015 is game time"

BEST OF 2013

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I'm still a little bit in shock of realizing 2013 is over within a couple of hours. Thinking back to all
my memories and experiences from the past year gives me mixed feelings. In a good way I must say.
So many emotional things happened! And dreams came true.

I made up a list last year. A kinda "bucket list" for 2013. With goals I was laughing about while writing
it. And with laughing I mean I never thought I would achieve those goals within one year. But I can
assure you, I freaking achieved them all!

My biggest goal was finding an apartment in Amsterdam. Check! I still cannot believe I'm living here
and writing this post from my very own couch which I bought for a whole lot of money ;-)

2013 showed me who my real friends are. I have a lot of them and would never ever trade them for
anyone else. I met so many new, amazing people and got closer and closer with all of my closest
friends. Words cannot describe how much they mean to me but I wanted to say them: I love you guys
with all my heart! You've done so much for me - which I appreciate so, so much - and I will be there
whenever you need me to be.

Another goal on my list was to travel more and explore the world. Well, I started my year in Paris so
that was a good begin to achieve this goal! After Paris I went to Berlin for Fashion Week with fellow
blogger Chloe. I've been to Antwerp twice, to interview the owner of Sal Y Limon. And the other time,
just for shopping fun ;-) In May was my biggest one; Bonaire. I finally overcome my fear to fly. And
I think there's no better reward than being on this island with your family. I was back for a month and
my Ibiza trip was ready for me. I literally  had the time of life with one of my besties - and now my
roommate - Joy. And this time I'm happy to end 2013 in my hometown Amsterdam (for the first time!)

I did the catwalkshow for Frenchonista, designed my own t-shirt for Nola.Nova, saw Khloé
Kardashian in real life(!), had a new tattoo, started my column at Metro Mode and worked together
with YSL. I also had thé best birthday ever. It will be hard to surpass this one. Almost impossible I
think. Partly thanks to one of my other besties Cherise, who gave me the best birthday present that
I will keep as a secret for you ;-)

This year was all about closure and my "yolo" phase. (I don't know if I'll leave the yolo
phase behind me yet... We will see)

Although you know what the most important thing is - love what you do and do what
you love - sometimes you forget to be happy in life.

The most important thing I learned this year is to put your own happiness first, always. Being there for
someone else doesn't make only them happy, but gives you an indescribable feeling as well.

I hope you're just as excited for 2014 as me! We're gonna rock it even more! See you next year my
lovely readers. I wish you a stylish and happy new year.

Yes, I'm a little late with my NYE post. But better late than never right? :)
I (finally!) bought my dream dress a few hours before I was heading to club Queen
at the Champs Élysées and countdown our last seconds of 2012.

My new years eve couldn't be better! The night was perfect! Met some nice people that
I really hope to see again ;)

Merci beaucoup Wimdu for this experience!

I'm literally shedding a few tears while making this post. What can happen in one year?
Wauw, a lot! With many ups and downs this year was amazing and also made me so strong
I didn't even know I had so much strength in me.

Frenchonista named her clutch after me, got a new tattoo, met a lot of really
amazing people and made some new incredible friends but also lost a few, broke up my
relationship of 6 and a half years, I bought my very own Chanel bag and my first
pair of Louboutins (two of my fashionista dreams ;) ), traveled from Paris to Milano to Madrid
and Saint-Tropez, had some awesome collaborations with Fashionchick, Frenchonista,
Nelly, NolaNova, Karin van Dijk, Wimdu, Skechers, Sarah Lou and Guess.

2012 was a year full of mixed emotions and hard work to get where I want to come. The last
couple of months was the hardest part of my life but that's also the part where I achieved the
most. So 2013 is gonna be my time to shine! And I want YOU to shine with me.
Because you're the best! I wanna thank everybody for reading my blog and following me,
that just means the world to me. I'm going to work even harder than I did before to
achieve my goals, to give you some awesome eye candy and to complete my bucket list
at the end of this year ;) Nobody can't stop me now!!!

R
And may all your dreams come true :)

Here I am, back on track baby! ;) Part una of my trip to Milan. The posts are gonna be a
little bit backwards, but the first thing I wanted to share with you is my NYE. I was told by a few
fashionable girls at the Furla store that Corso Como was a fun place to be at the 31st of
December. So that's where Bryan and I went. And we wished each other a "buon anno" at 11
Clubroom (it's kinda hard to countdown in Italian if you don't speak a word of the language though...)
And how did you spent your first hours in 2012? :)

Yes, I'm happy to be home again, but I didn't mind spending some more days in Milan
(maybe with some more money :-P). Sorry for the lack of updates lately, I didn't had any
internet this weekend. So I didn't even had the chance to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR
Please forgive me...

I'll make it up to you! So keep an eye on my blog because tomorrow I'll be back on track
again and you will see alllll the pictures of this amazing weekend ;)
